Section Odb 203.05 - Extensions of Time(a) Any party requesting a hearing may petition the board to extend any time limit prescribed by this chapter for good cause as specified in (d) below. A request for an extension shall be submitted in writing to the board prior to the expiration of the prescribed period and shall state the reasons for the extension request. A copy of the request shall also be sent to all other parties involved.(b) The department or any other party may object to the request by filing a written objection with the board within 5 days of receipt of the request, stating the reasons why the request should not be granted.(c) If there is no opposition to the request and if the delay would not cause prejudice, the presiding officer shall grant the request. If an objection to a request is filed, the presiding officer shall consider whether good cause exists to grant the request and shall rule on the request within a reasonable time.(d) Good cause shall include such contingencies as an accident, sudden illness, death of a family member, or other circumstances beyond the control of the party, which prevents the party from meeting the time limit.(e) The board shall notify all parties of board actions through the department.N.H.
