Section Mid 402.01 - Term of Certificates; Lapse of Certificates(a) An initial or renewed certificate to practice midwifery shall be valid for 2 years if application for its renewal is made timely and completely in accordance with these rules.(b) Pursuant to RSA 326-D:11, if a renewal application is made timely and completely, the certificate to be renewed shall not lapse until the council has taken final action upon the application.(c) If a renewal application is not made timely and completely and therefore the midwifery council cannot take action on it before the expiration date of the certificate to be renewed: (1) The certificate to be renewed shall lapse; and(2) The midwife shall not practice until:a. The certificate has been reinstated pursuant to Mid 403; orb. The midwife has been newly certified in accordance with the procedures and eligibility standards set out in Mid 300.N.H. Admin. Code § Mid 402.01
