Section Mhp 308.02 - Courses Required for Social Work Associate

(a) The associate or bachelors degree in accordance with Mhp 301.08(a) shall include areas of study that includes components of the following:

(1) Human growth and development;

(2) Abnormal psychology or psychopathology;

(3) Clinical counseling theories;

(4) Clinical counseling techniques;

(5) Social and cultural foundations;

(6) Group work;

(7) Professional orientation and ethics of mental health counseling;

(8) Career and lifestyle development;

(9) Screening and assessment;

(10) Research and program evaluation; and

(11) Addictive behaviors.
