Section He-P 4046.14 - Mammography X-ray System Requirements(a) In addition to other rules pertaining to radiation safety, registration and use of radiation machines, only radiation machines pursuant to the "Mammography Quality Standards Reauthorization Act of 1998," Public Law 105-248, and 21 CFR Part 900, shall be used for screening and diagnostic mammography.(b) A facility performing screening and diagnostic mammography shall have a valid certificate issued by the US Department of Health and Human Services, pursuant to the "Mammography Quality Standards Reauthorization Act of 1998," Public Law 105-248, and 21 CFR Part 900.N.H.
