The board and the commissioner of the department of health and human services shall designate an executive director and such other staff members as are necessary to perform the record-keeping and other statutory functions of the board and to oversee the board's daily operations. The executive director shall be responsible for maintaining all records of the board's activities and for receiving correspondence, filings and other communications and documents.
