Section Env-Wq 717.10 - Extension of Performance Assessment Period(a) If the owner of an I/A system determines that the performance assessment cannot be completed in one year, the owner shall submit a written request for extension to the department.(b) The request for extension shall contain the following information: (1) Facility name and location;(2) Date of I/A technology approval;(3) Type of I/A technology system;(4) Reason(s) why the performance assessment cannot be completed in one year;(5) Steps that will be taken to complete the performance assessment; and(6) Estimated amount of additional time required to fully assess the system.(c) The request shall be filed not less than one month prior to the end of the one-year assessment period.(d) The department shall respond to the request in writing within 30 days of receipt of a request filed in accordance with (b) and (c), above.(e) The department shall grant the extension if the department finds that: (1) The performance assessment cannot reasonably be completed in one year; and(2) The steps identified by the owner appear adequate to fully assess the I/A technology system.(f) If the department does not approve the request for extension, the response provided pursuant to (d), above, shall specify: (1) The reason(s) for the decision; and(2) The deadline for submittal of the second performance assessment report.N.H.
