Section Env-Wq 711.08 - Secondary Settling Tanks: Design Criteria for Waste Sludge(a) Means for measuring, sampling, and controlling the rate of waste activated sludge flow shall be provided. Measuring devices shall totalize and record, as well as indicate flows.(b) Waste sludge shall be discharged to primary settling tanks, units for concentrating the waste sludge, storage tanks, digesters, dewatering devices, or to other means of direct removal from the plant.(c) Waste sludge facilities shall be designed to pump the expected minimum and maximum rates of wasting.(d) Provisions shall be made for the draining and flushing of discharge lines.N.H.
