Section Env-Wq 704.20 - Service Connections(a) Service connections shall use sanitary tee or wye fittings for all new sewer construction.(b) The centerline of all building connections shall enter the top half of the sewer.(c) Any service connection with a vertical rise up to 4 feet may have the sewer fitting set vertically.(d) Any service connection with a vertical rise up to 12 feet shall employ non-encased risers that protect against pipe penetration or failure at the fitting by the use of bell-on-bell connections.(e) For existing sewers where fittings cannot be installed, saddle connections shall be used.(f) Pressure sewerage shall have an isolation valve or curb stop valve installed at the property line. If a check valve is used at the property line, the valve shall be installed within a vault to facilitate maintenance.(g) Roof downspouts, exterior or interior foundation drains, sump pumps, or other sources of surface water run-off or groundwater shall not be directly or indirectly connected to a public sewer.N.H.
