Section Env-Wq 702.03 - Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD[5])

"Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD₅)" means the amount of oxygen used by microorganisms in the biochemical oxidation of decomposable organic matter under aerobic conditions over a 5-day period, as expressed in milligrams per liter (mg/L).
