Section Env-Sw 2105.05 - General Project Requirements; When Work Plans Required(a) The excavation, removal, exposure, or other disturbance of asbestos at an asbestos disposal site shall be conducted in a manner that: (1) Is protective of public health, safety, and the environment; and(2) Does not cause a release of asbestos fibers to the environment, including any release identified in Env-Sw 2104.02.(b) The excavation, removal, exposure, or other disturbance of asbestos at an asbestos disposal site shall be carried out in conformance with all applicable federal, state, and local requirements pertaining to the management and control of asbestos, including but not limited to the requirements listed in Env-Sw 2101.01(b), as applicable.(c) Major non-emergency projects involving certificate-required work shall proceed in accordance with a project-specific or generic work plan prepared and approved pursuant to Env-Sw 2106.(d) For any project that is subject to the work plan requirement cited in (c), above, the qualified individual shall maintain a copy of the approved work plan at the work site for the duration of the project, for reference by workers and for inspection by the department and the local health officer on request.N.H.
