Section Env-A 1212.03 - Work Practice Standards for Miscellaneous Metal and Plastic Parts and Products Coating(a) The owner or operator of a miscellaneous metal and plastic parts and products coating operation shall control VOC emissions from VOC-containing coatings, thinners, and coatings-related waste materials by using the following work practices: (1) Storing all VOC-containing coatings, thinners, and coatings-related waste materials in closed containers;(2) Keeping mixing and storage containers closed at all times except when depositing or removing VOC-containing coatings, thinners, and coatings-related waste materials;(3) Minimizing spills of VOC-containing coatings, thinners, and coatings-related waste materials; and(4) Conveying VOC-containing coatings, thinners, and coatings-related waste materials from one location to another in closed containers or pipes.(b) The owner or operator of a miscellaneous metal and plastic parts and products coating operation shall control VOC emissions from cleaning materials by using the following work practices: (1) Storing VOC-containing cleaning materials and used shop towels in closed containers;(2) Keeping mixing and storage containers closed at all times except when depositing or removing VOC-containing materials;(3) Minimizing spills of VOC-containing cleaning materials;(4) Conveying VOC-containing cleaning materials from one location to another in closed containers or pipes; and(5) Minimizing VOC emissions from the cleaning of storage, mixing, and conveying equipment by ensuring that: a. Cleaning solvents are not atomized; andb. All spent solvent is captured in closed containers.N.H. Code Admin. R. Env-A 1212.03
