Section Env-A 105.46 - Volatile organic compound (VOC)"Volatile organic compound (VOC)" means any compound of carbon that participates in atmospheric photochemical reactions, excluding carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, carbonic acid, metallic carbides or carbonates, and ammonium carbonate. The term does not include any organic compound that the administrator of the EPA designates in 40 CFR 51.100(s) as having no or negligible photochemical reactivity.
