Section Ed 1021.17 - Continuance of Hearing(a) A hearing officer shall grant extensions of time beyond the period set out in Ed 1021.15(e) for specific periods of time at the request of either party if: (1) The party's vocational rehabilitation services would not be jeopardized by the delay;(2) The party would not have adequate time to prepare and present the party's position at the hearing in accordance with the requirements of due process; and(3) The need for the delay is greater than any financial or other detrimental consequences likely to be suffered by a party in the event of delay.(b) A hearing shall not be continued by the hearing officer because of the hearing officer's schedule.N.H.
