In addition to the requirements of 34 CFR 361.42 and 34 CFR 361.45, the following shall apply to assessments for determining eligibility, developing an IEP, determining priority for services, and as needed to monitor and provide vocational rehabilitation services:
(a) The assessment process shall begin when an individual with a disability applies for NHVR services with the intent to reach an employment outcome;(b) The assessment process shall be utilized for the following: (1) To determine eligibility;(2) To determine the significance of disability;(3) To identify the scope of required services and supports to meet rehabilitation needs;(4) To substantiate appropriateness for supported employment;(5) To develop the individualized plan for employment (IPE);(6) To determine progress during the implementation of the IPE; and(7) To determine if the individual has achieved an employment outcome in a competitive integrated setting consistent with the individual's employment factors; and(c) An individual shall be accommodated to participate in the assessment process using the most appropriate mode of communication to enable the individual to comprehend and respond to information being communicated during the assessment process.N.H.
