Section Arb 203.06 - Continuances

(a) The board shall grant up to a 30-day extension of time to schedule a hearing pursuant to RSA 357-D:4, IV if a party demonstrates exigent circumstances.

(b) Exigent circumstances shall include:

(1) Hospitalization;

(2) Serious illness;

(3) Incarceration;

(4) Death of a family member; or

(5) Any other unforeseeable circumstances beyond the party's control that requires the party's absence from the scheduled hearing.

(c) All requests for continuances shall:

(1) Be in writing;

(2) Be received by the board no later than 5 working days prior to the date of the scheduled hearing; and

(3) Include:

a.The reason for the request; and

b.Optional dates when the party shall be available.
