Section Alc 409.02 - Requirements for MLADCs(a) As a condition of renewal, LADCs and MLADCs shall have completed 48 hours of continuing education in substance use disorder training during the immediately preceding 24 month period.(b) At least 24 of the required 48 hours shall be pre-approved by the board.(c) No more than 12 of the 48 hours shall be received in online continuing education courses, provided that courses taken as part of an online degree program shall not be counted towards this 12- hour maximum.(d) At least 12 hours shall be specific to the following categories of competence: (2) Diagnosis of substance use disorder;(3) Knowledge of alcohol and drugs;(4) Knowledge of sociological factors;(5) Knowledge of physiological factors;(6) Knowledge of psychiatric factors; and(7) Knowledge of treatment issues.(e) Licensees shall obtain at least 6 hours in ethics and 6 hours in suicide prevention.(f) Licensees shall be permitted to substitute up to 10 hours of continuing education for an equivalent amount of time as a presenter of continuing education courses.N.H.
