If an event that requires mandatory control occurs to a foreign insurer or health organization and a domiciliary receiver has not been appointed in accordance with the laws relating to rehabilitation and liquidation of the state in which the foreign insurer or health organization is domiciled, if any, the Commissioner may, pursuant to the provisions of chapter 696B of NRS relating to the liquidation of property of a foreign insurer or health organization, apply to a court of competent jurisdiction to appoint the Commissioner as receiver.
