Section 679B.615 - "Insurance transaction" defined

"Insurance transaction" means any transaction involving insurance primarily for personal, family or household needs or any group health policy that involves:

1. The determination of a natural person's eligibility for insurance coverage, a benefit or a payment; or

2. The servicing of an insurance application, policy, contract or certificate.

The term does not include insurance transactions made for business or professional needs.
