Section 641D.180 - Placement of license on inactive status; restoration of inactive license to active status
1. A licensee may have his or her license placed on inactive status by submitting a written request to the Division and paying the fee required by section 45.
2. A person whose license is placed on inactive status shall not engage in the practice of applied behavior analysis while the license is inactive.
3. To renew a license that has been placed on inactive status and keep the license on inactive status, a person must submit to the Board:
(a) An application to renew the license; and
(b) The fee required by section 45 for the biennial renewal of a license on inactive status.
4. A person whose license is placed on inactive status is not required to complete any continuing education to renew the license.
5. A person whose license is place on inactive status may request that the Board restore the license to active status. The Board will restore the license to active status upon:
(a) Submission of a written request for the restoration of the license;
(b) Payment of the fee required by section 45 for the restoration to active status of a license on inactive status;
(c) Submission of proof that the person has completed the requirements for continuing education set forth in section 37 during the 2 years immediately preceding the date the request is submitted;
(d) If the person has engaged in the practice of applied behavior analysis in another jurisdiction while his or her license was on inactive status, proof that the person is in good standing with no disciplinary proceedings pending against him or her in that jurisdiction; and
(e) If the Board determines that it is necessary, successful completion of the state examination administered by the Board pursuant to section 40.
