Section 640.685 - Additional grounds1. In addition to the grounds set forth in subsection 2 of NRS 640.160 and subsection 12 of NAC 640.550, the Board may take disciplinary action against a licensee if it determines that the licensee: (a) Failed to retain, furnish a copy of or make available the health care records of a patient as required pursuant to NRS 629.051, 629.061 and 629.065;(b) Failed voluntarily to report to the Board his or her addiction to the use of a controlled substance;(c) Failed voluntarily to report to the Board within 30 days any judgment or settlement in an amount of $5,000 or more entered against or agreed to by the licensee on a claim involving malpractice; (d) Knowingly filed a frivolous complaint, which the Board may deem to constitute unprofessional conduct; or(e) Is an impaired practitioner.2. As used in this section: (a) "Dangerous drug" has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 454.201.(b) "Impaired practitioner" means a licensee who uses any controlled substance, dangerous drug or intoxicating liquid to an extent or in a manner which is dangerous or injurious to another person or which impairs the ability of the licensee to conduct the practice authorized by his or her license.Nev.
