Section 639.458 - "Prescription" defined1. "Prescription" means: (a) An order given individually for the person for whom a drug is prescribed, directly from a practitioner, or his or her agent, to a pharmacist or indirectly by means of an order signed by the practitioner.(b) A chart order written for an inpatient specifying drugs that the inpatient is to take home upon his or her discharge.2. The term does not include a chart order written for an inpatient for use while he or she is an inpatient.Nev. Admin. Code § 639.458
