"Dispense" means the furnishing of a controlled substance or dangerous drug in any amount greater than that necessary for the present and immediate needs of the ultimate user. The term does not include the furnishing of a controlled substance or dangerous drug by a pharmacy in a medical facility to an inpatient of the medical facility in which the pharmacy is located.
