1. The hearing officer may, at his or her discretion, order a prehearing conference to accomplish one or more of the following purposes: (a) Formulate or simplify the issues involved in the hearing.(b) Obtain admissions of fact or documents.(c) Arrange for the exchange of proposed exhibits or prepared expert testimony.(d) Limit the number of witnesses.(e) Establish any other procedure or determine any other matters which may expedite the orderly conduct and disposition of the proceedings or settlements thereof.2. If a hearing officer orders a prehearing conference pursuant to subsection 1, the hearing officer shall serve on all parties a notice of the prehearing conference that includes, without limitation, the date, time and place of the prehearing conference.3. Unless otherwise ordered by the hearing officer for good cause shown, the failure of a party or his or her counsel to attend a prehearing conference constitutes a waiver of any objection to any action taken at the prehearing conference or any agreements, admissions or stipulations made by the parties at the conference.Nev.
