Section 571.210 - Feeding of flesh or offal of unwholesome animal to animals or fowlThe flesh or offal of an animal that is unwholesome shall not be fed to animals or fowl except as follows:
1. Any person who feeds unwholesome flesh or offal to animals or fowl must first receive a permit from the Division of Animal Industry of the Department to do so. Before a permit is issued, the person must satisfy the Department that all such material will be exposed in a tank or digester to a minimum temperature of 225 degrees Fahrenheit for at least a 3-hour period for dry rendering or a minimum temperature of 240 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 hours for wet rendering, and that all such materials will be so processed before being fed to animals or fowl.2. Failure to comply with this chapter or the terms set forth in the permit shall be sufficient cause for cancellation of the permit.Nev. Admin. Code § 571.210
