Section 555.650 - Private applicators: StandardsA private applicator who applies for a certificate must pass a written examination to demonstrate that he or she possesses practical knowledge of:
1. The principles and practices of pest control associated with the production of agricultural commodities and the effective use of restricted-use pesticides as set forth in 40 C.F.R. § 171.105(a); and2. The specific standards set forth in this subsection, as applicable to each of the following categories of pest control: (a) Soil fumigation: A private applicator must demonstrate practical knowledge of the pest problems and pest control practices associated with performing soil fumigant applications as set forth in 40 C.F.R.§ 171.105(d).(b) Nonsoil fumigation: A private applicator must demonstrate practical knowledge of the pest problems and pest control practices associated with performing fumigation applications to sites other than soil as set forth in 40 C.F.R.§ 171.105(e).Nev.
