Section 482.295 - Fee to defray cost of producing license plate1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, pursuant to subsection 1 of NRS 482.268, the Department will charge each person who applies for a license plate for a motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer, to defray the cost of producing the license plate: (a) A fee of 50 cents for deposit with the State Treasurer for credit to the Fund for Prison Industries; and(b) A fee not to exceed $5 for deposit with the State Treasurer for credit to the License Plate Production Account.2. A person is not required to pay the fees set forth in subsection 1 if the cost of producing the license plate is otherwise charged pursuant to chapter 482 of NRS or any regulations adopted pursuant thereto.Nev.
