Section 467.920 - Service of documents1. For purposes of this chapter, when service of a document is delivered by mail, service shall be deemed to be complete on the date that a true copy of the document, properly addressed and with postage paid, is deposited in the United States mail.2. If service of a document is delivered personally, service shall be deemed complete on the date of personal service.3. Whenever a party has the right or is required to do some act or take some proceedings within a time prescribed by this chapter after the service of a notice or other paper upon him or her, and the notice or paper is served by mail, 3 days must be added to the times prescribed by this chapter.Nev.
