Section 459.3184 - Notice to public; public comment1. The Division will notify the public and seek public comment: (a) Upon receipt of a decommissioning plan;(b) Upon receipt of a proposal for the release of a site pursuant to NAC 459.318 or 459.3182; or(c) If the Commission determines such notice to be in the public interest under the circumstances.2. Notice will be given and comment will be sought from:(a) State and local governments and any Indian nation or other indigenous people that have treaty or statutory rights:(1) In the vicinity of the site; and(2) That could be affected by the decommissioning;(b) Some segment of the general public; and(c) If the proposal is to release a site pursuant to the alternate criteria set forth in NAC 459.3182, the Environmental Protection Agency.3. Notice to the public must be accomplished by publication in a forum that is readily accessible to natural persons in the vicinity of the site, including, without limitation: (b) Letters sent directly to state or local organizations; and(c) Any other appropriate forum.Nev.
