Section 450B.774 - Procedure when patient refuses transportation to center for treatment of trauma1. If a patient at the scene of an injury refuses to be transported to a center for the treatment of trauma after a determination has been made that the patient's physical condition meets the triage criteria requiring transport to the center, the person providing emergency medical care shall evaluate the mental condition of the patient. If the person determines that the patient is competent, the patient must be advised of the risks of not receiving further treatment at the center.2. If the patient continues to refuse to be transported to the center for the treatment of trauma, the person providing emergency medical care shall request the patient to sign a statement indicating that the patient has been advised of the risks of not receiving further treatment at the center and continues to refuse to be transported to the center.3. The person providing emergency medical care shall inform a physician at the location to which the person intends to transport the patient of the patient's refusal to be transported before the person leaves the scene of the injury.4. As used in this section, "triage criteria" has the meaning ascribed to it in NAC 450B.814.Nev. Admin. Code § 450B.774
