"Verification review" means the process by which the American College of Surgeons, or an equivalent medical organization or agency approved by the Board, conducts an on-site review of a hospital and confirms that the hospital is performing or is capable of performing as a center for the treatment of trauma or a pediatric center for the treatment of trauma and meets the appropriate criteria contained in Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient, as adopted by reference in NAC 450B.816.
