A patient must not be transferred by air ambulance from one hospital to another unless such transfer has been determined necessary by a physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse at the medical facility requesting the transfer of the patient and the transfer has been confirmed and accepted by the medical facility receiving the transfer of the patient.
