Section 449.442 - Policies and procedures for protection of rights of residents1. A psychiatric residential treatment facility shall develop and carry out policies and procedures that protect and support the rights of residents in the same manner as set forth for medical facilities and facilities for the dependent in NRS 449A.100 to 449A.118, inclusive.2. If an employee or independent contractor of a psychiatric residential treatment facility has reasonable cause to believe that another employee or independent contractor of the facility has abused or neglected a resident: (a) The employee or independent contractor with knowledge of the abuse or neglect shall report the abuse or neglect as required by NRS 200.5093 or 432B.220, if applicable;(b) The facility shall prevent the alleged perpetrator of the abuse or neglect from having further direct contact with any resident; and(c) The facility shall notify the parent of or other person legally responsible for the alleged victim of the abuse or neglect and ensure that the alleged victim receives appropriate medical assessment and treatment.Nev.
