Section 449.612014 - "Cardiac surgery" defined

"Cardiac surgery" means an operation performed on the heart or on the blood vessels connected to the heart in which access to the area of interest is provided by means of an incision in the wall of the thorax or for which the use of a heart-lung bypass machine is required.
