Section 449.99895 - Imposition by Bureau; purpose; applicable criteria

The Bureau may impose a monetary penalty alone or in addition to other penalties. The purpose of a monetary penalty is to provide a fund for protecting the health, safety, rights, welfare and well-being of recipients and the property of residents in facilities and to deter future deficiencies. If a monetary penalty is imposed, the criteria in NAC 449.99896 must be applied.
