Section 445B.577 - Devices used on stationary rails: Restrictions on visible emissions1. Except as provided by federal regulation, visible emissions from devices manufactured before January 1, 1970, used exclusively upon stationary rails must not exceed an opacity greater than 60 percent for more than 15 consecutive seconds.2. Except as provided by federal regulation, a person shall not operate a device manufactured on or after January 1, 1970, used exclusively upon stationary rails at or below 5,000 feet (1,500 meters) elevation where the period of continuous visible emission is of an opacity greater than 40 percent for more than 15 consecutive seconds.Nev.
