Section 445B.3629 - "Nevada maximum achievable control technology" and "NvMACT" defined

"Nevada maximum achievable control technology," abbreviated as "NvMACT," means a standard, method of control or any other limitation which is applied to an existing thermal unit that emits mercury, a new thermal unit that emits mercury or a modified thermal unit that emits mercury, and which is:

1. Designed to reduce the level of mercury emissions; and
2. Determined by the Director to be the maximum degree of reduction of mercury emissions that is achievable for the thermal unit that emits mercury.
