Section 445A.66865 - Water wells: Location1. Before designing and carrying out a proposal for the location of a water well, a supplier of water shall:(a) Submit to the Division or the appropriate district board of health information on any flood zone that includes the proposed location; and(b) In consultation with the Division or the appropriate district board of health, identify all potential sources for the pollution or contamination of groundwater at the proposed location.2. Except as otherwise justified by an engineer and approved by the Division or the appropriate district board of health, no water well may be located:(a) Within 50 feet of a gravity sanitary sewer or gravity storm sewer; or(b) Within 150 feet of a wastewater force main, wastewater lift station, septic tank or absorption field, or any other source of pollution or contamination.Nev.
