Section 445A.6617 - "Operating storage" defined

"Operating storage" means water stored in a tank during periods of small demand for water for the purpose of supplying a particular portion of the area of service of a public water system when the demand for water in the area exceeds the capacity of the pumps that deliver water to the area.
