Section 445A.6598 - "Foot valve" defined

"Foot valve" means a check valve that:

1. Is placed at the bottom of the suction pipe of a pump;

2. Opens to allow the entry of water into the suction pipe; and

3. Closes to prevent water from passing out through the bottom of the suction pipe.
