Section 445A.9512 - "Biochemical oxygen demand" defined

"Biochemical oxygen demand" means a measure, set forth in milligrams per liter or parts per million, of the amount of oxygen required by any bacteria or other microorganisms to oxidize any organic matter present in a water sample over a period of 5 days.
