"Alternative," as used to describe a method of treating wastewater, means any proven process or technique for the treatment of wastewater which provides for the reclamation and reuse of water, recovers energy, productively recycles the constituents of wastewater or otherwise eliminates the discharge of pollutants. The term includes:
1. Land application of effluent and sludge.6. Revegetation of disturbed land.8. The composting and drying of sludge before land application.9. Self-sustaining incineration.11. Individual and on-site systems.12. Small-diameter pressure and vacuum sewers or small-diameter gravity sewers carrying partially or fully treated wastewater.Nev. Admin. Code § 445A.687
