Section 444.520 - Operating permits1. No person may operate a public spa unless he or she has applied for and received an operating permit from the health authority.2. Permits expire 1 year after the date of issue unless previously revoked for a violation of the statutes and regulations of the State Board of Health or the local board of health.3. A temporary permit may be issued in exceptional cases for a limited time to permit management to make changes in order to comply with the minimum requirements. Safeguards must be provided to protect the health and safety of the bathers during the time that a temporary permit is in effect.4. The permit must be posted in a conspicuous place at or near the office of each spa.5. An operating permit is not transferable, and applies only to the public spa for which it is issued. When the spa is transferred or sold, the new owner must apply for and obtain a new operating permit from the health authority within 30 days of the sale or transfer.Nev. Admin. Code § 444.520
