Section 441A.555 - Hansen's disease (leprosy)1. The health authority shall investigate each report of a case having Hansen's disease (leprosy) to confirm the diagnosis and to identify any contacts residing in the same household as the case.2. A contact residing in the same household as a case having Hansen's disease (leprosy) shall obtain an examination by a physician for signs of the disease as soon as possible after diagnosis of the index case, and at 6- to 12-month intervals for not less than 5 years after his or her last contact with the case while infectious.Nev.
