Section 432A.534 - Family homes1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 3, there must not be more than 6 children who are less than 18 years of age residing in a family home for each caregiver in the family home.2. Except as otherwise provided in NAC 432A.546, a licensee of a family home shall: (a) Have one caregiver on duty at all times;(b) Not provide care for more than two children who are less than 1 year of age or four children who are less than 2 years of age at any given time;(c) Have a second caregiver on duty whenever four or more of the children in the facility are children with special needs; and(d) Provide an alternate caregiver in case of an emergency.3. If a licensee of a family home is: (a) A natural person, the licensee shall: (1) Reside in the facility; and(2) Provide direct care to the children in the facility.(b) Not a natural person, one of the persons listed on the license pursuant to NRS 432A.150 as a person authorized to operate the facility shall: (1) Reside in the facility; and(2) Provide direct care to the children in the facility.4. A child of the person who resides in a family home pursuant to subsection 3 will be counted to determine whether a licensee is in compliance with subsection 1 only if the child is less than 4 years of age.Nev.
