To receive an endorsement to teach art, a person must hold a bachelor's degree and:
1. Have completed an approved program of preparation for teaching art; or2. Have completed: (a) Thirty-six semester hours in the principles of fine and applied arts which included: (5) Digital or graphic arts;(6) Ceramics or sculpture; and(7) Photography or printmaking; and(b) Twenty-two semester hours of professional education which included: (1) Foundations of education;(2) Methods of teaching art in elementary or secondary schools;(3) Eight semester hours of supervised teaching; and(4) Three semester hours in strategies for working with students with disabilities, including curricular adaptation.Nev.
