Section 391.196 - Endorsement to teach computer programming or computer scienceTo receive an endorsement to teach advanced computer science, a person must have a valid secondary license and must:
1. Successfully complete 12 semester hours of coursework, consisting of: (a) Three semester hours of coursework in a course of study that covers methods for teaching computer science;(b) Three semester hours of coursework in a course of study that covers concepts in computer science; and(c) Six semester hours of coursework in a course of study that covers instruction concerning programming in computer languages; or2. Submit to the Department official documentation which indicates that the person passed, at the level of competency specified by the Commission, the "Praxis Computer Science Test" prepared and administered by the Educational Testing Service.Nev.
