Section 391.052 - Criteria for approval of standards for licensing teachers of another state; credit for previous teaching service1. The Commission will approve the standards for licensing teachers of another state or foreign country for the purposes of subsection 2 of NRS 391.167 if: (a) The state or foreign country in which the teacher earned the previous teaching service is a signatory with this State on the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification Interstate Agreement; or(b) The Department has determined that the state or foreign country in which the teacher earned the previous teaching service has standards for licensing a teacher that are similar to the standards for licensing a teacher in this State.2. The Commission will not give credit to a teacher pursuant to subsection 1 of NRS 391.167 for previous teaching service earned in a program of homeschooling.3.
