Section 390.550 - Requirements for college-ready and career-ready endorsement1. To receive a college-ready endorsement pursuant to paragraph (a) of subsection 3 of NRS 390.605, a pupil must, before graduating from high school:(a) Complete a college readiness assessment prescribed by the Board of Regents of the University of Nevada in section 1 of chapter 16 of title 4 of the "Board of Regents Handbook"; and(b) Receive not less than the minimum scores for initial placement into college-level English and mathematics courses prescribed by the Board of Regents in section 1 of chapter 16 of title 4 of the "Board of Regents Handbook."2. To receive a career-ready endorsement pursuant to paragraph (b) of subsection 3 of NRS 390.605, a pupil must, before graduating from high school:(a) Receive not less than the minimum score prescribed by the State Board of Education on a career readiness assessment prescribed by the State Board;(b) Satisfy the requirements for the issuance of a certificate pursuant to subsection 4 of NAC 389.800; or(c) Obtain an industry-recognized credential identified by the Executive Director of the Governor's Office of Workforce Innovation in the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation pursuant to NRS 232.975.4. If section 1 of chapter 16 of title 4 of the "Board of Regents Handbook" is revised, the State Board of Education will review the revision to determine its suitability for the purposes of this section. If the State Board determines that the revision is not suitable for the provisions of this section, the State Board will hold a public hearing to review its determination and give notice of that hearing within 90 days after the date of the publication of the revision. If, after the hearing, the State Board does not revise its determination, the State Board will give notice that the revision is not suitable for the purposes of this section within 90 days after the hearing. If the State Board does not give such notice, the revision becomes part of the publication adopted by reference pursuant to subsection 3.Nev. Admin. Code § 390.550
