Section 389.491 - Science: Generally

A local school district shall ensure that pupils, by the completion of the 12th grade, are able to comply with the performance standards required for science which are adopted by the State Board of Education pursuant to NAC 389.244, 389.2939, 389.411 and 389.4915 and sections 2 to 5, inclusive. In carrying out this requirement, the district shall:

1. Develop courses which must encompass all of the standards required for science by the completion of the 12th grade; and

2. Provide to each pupil, upon enrollment in high school, a listing of the courses that encompass all of the the performance standards required for science by the completion of the 12th grade.
