Section 361.348 - "Operating revenue" defined; synonymous with "net revenue

"Operating revenue" means the revenue from the operations of the primary business of an enterprise, such as the electric revenues of an electric utility, which is gross sales of goods and services, less returns, allowances and cash discounts, together with gross amounts received from any other regular income source. The term is synonymous with the term "net revenue" from sales of services.
